About Galerie Reinisch Contemporary
Reinisch Contemporary has more than 25 artists, including both new and established artists such as Herbert Brandl, Katharina Grosse and Hubert Schmalix. With a focus on art after 1980, the gallery deals in paintings, sculptures, photographs and prints.
There are two locations in Austria: one in the centre of Graz and another in Kalsdorf Castle, a 15th century country palace in eastern Styria. There are also ‘Reinisch Top Up Gallery’ events, where the gallery is temporarily located elsewhere, for example in Salzburg’s Getreidegasse during the festival.
Reinisch Contemporary is present at the major Austrian art fairs, works with museums and cultural institutions, advises collections and contributes to the art discourse with publications.
Gallery Reinisch at
Hauptplatz 6, Graz
The flagship store on Graz’s main square first opened its doors in 1982 and was reopened at the beginning of 2012. Reinisch Contemporary presents constantly changing solo and group exhibitions on more than 200 square metres.
Gallery Reinisch in the
Kalsdorf Castle near Ilz
Kalsdorf Castle, a former castle ruin near Ilz, has been hosting exhibitions and events on over 1,000 square metres since the 1990s. The castle and castle park also offer scope for art and architecture projects. Artists such as Thomas Stimm, Othmar Krenn and Herbert Brandl have left their (sometimes monumental) mark here over the years, including the work ‘Sphere’ (2006-2008) by Hartmut Skerbisch.
Gallery Reinisch in Salzburg
During the Easter and summer festivals, we show Masterpieces of Art at our location at Getreidegasse 12 in the heart of Salzburg.
